TPE - it&39;s all about the light. The Photographer&39;s Ephemeris (TPE) helps you plan outdoor photography shoots. TPE is a map-centric sun and moon calculator: see how the light will fall on the land, be it ...
Save your money and your time MAYBE the IOS version is better I just know that this Android version sucks And by the time I figured out just how bad it was too late for a refund So save your money There are much better apps out there Apps with more tools better user interface and so much more Installed this based on the recommendation from an article I read Boy was I duped Kris Sanchez
It gives you the basics It pales in to insignificance compared to the IOS version or Photopils Sorry TPE but until your developers get there act together and give Android the same features as IOS then this app will no longer be taking up space on my phone Tim Blake
A photographer and astronomers delight A wonderfully nerdy app Cosmo Spacely
Android version pales in comparison to the iOS version Yes it s inexpensive compared to the iOS version 2 99 vs 8 99 However it s priced less because it s less functional There is no Milky Way u0026 several other core functions are missing The Android version has no provisions for a Skyfire subscription integration The dev has chosen to ignore Android u0026 justifies that through a cheaper price There s also no TPE 3D for Android Save your buy Plan It Pro For Photographers u0026 Photo Pills James M
I ve used this app for years starting on desktop and moving on to the Android version when it became available I recently found out the iOS version is far superior in feature set comparable to PhotoPills or PlanitPro I m a bit let down as I used to love the app so much but a lack of parity between platforms has really put me off If you re considering purchasing this your money is probably better spent on PhotoPills Ian McDowall
TPE is a has been good back in the day but stagnant for years now with zero improvements for the Android version it s not bad but the feature set is ho hum what you d expect from a free app not a premium app Save your money or spend it on PlanIt or Photo Pills Are the developers listening Give us Android users some loving or we ll continue to steer users clear I regret having recommended your app to dozens of friends over the years Desert Gecko
Honestly thought this app was ok and userful until I tried to do some of the options I saw on the website for the app which is how I came to find the app in the first place Well all the cool features you see on the website are only for the IOS version The android version SUCKS Of course I downloaded and waited a few days to dig into it at which point I was past the point of being able to request a refund Matthew Fortune
Massively surpassed by Plan It Pro I ve no experience of photo pills I open the app occasionally to see if the IOS 3d functionality has been added but am always disappointed Save your money and put it towards an absolutely amazing piece of software in Plan It Pro which is quite simply staggeringly good Haydn Huston
This used to be great my go to app for planning photography trips Although most of the features still work and it s still great once you ve found your location the search function seems unable to find any place you type into the search bar Even places I know it used to find Very frustrating It s 5 stars with that fix 3 without EDIT search is fixed so back to 5 stars Jonathan Carre
does what it says on the tin perfectly btw devs with some slight modifications you could make a program for spotting solar panels David Rutledge
Why cant i find night mode in Android version of TPE This is absurd There is no point in buying this app for the features which you guys have included for Android users I was using IOS before and now switched to Android and purchased this app thinking that there will be a night mode in it Now i feel i wasted my money for nothing Naveen S
This is a 5 star app Well developed and very accurate Extremely useful for anyone especially the sunrise sunset or moonrise moonset photographers I use it always during my traveling in order to get the best possible light in my photos Thank you KOSTAS TROVAS
Would be great to get milky way setting including augmented reality for how it might look on horizon But used every time I shoot images Davy Kelly
super piece of kit that s essential Iain McCallum
Best pro photographer app out there Larry Fletcher
Limited features in comparison to ios version Don t bother with this app Edward
So what do we people who dont have an iphone or ios device do how can developers neglect the largest phone users of the world that is android dont waste money buying this app there are lots of free alternatives Lots of features missing and available on ios only funny inorder to use full functionality of the app one is forced to get an iphone ridiculous logic vaishakh babu
Does the job I wanted it to do without any problems or hickups Ben Wilkat
so awkward to use alan price
PhotoPills is a better use of your money C.O. Shea
handy want 3D A Google user
need 2 know where the sun moon is and when this shows u NaturaLight Artisan Photography
Nothing like the desktop version Graeme Cuerden
As it is now it s not worth your 3 Shyamal Kapadia
Kinda awful Outshaddowed by other apps now Eric Bray
Excellent Art Kelly
Not worth the price to buy therr are free apps with more functions Maybebifbthry decide android user aren t second class and add functionality equivalent to their apple app it will be worth buying For now don t get sucked in by any apple guy telling you about the functionality Dustin Schneider
Watching the Android version stall in development compared to the iPhone version is disheartening I used to recommend this app to all my photo workshop students but with the limitations especially no support for the Milky Way I recommend PhotoPills instead If Milky Way support was added I d switch back to recommending TPE Until then skip it Because if you happen to have a friend with an iPhone you ll feel frustrated when comparing the two versions that you both paid the same for Bryan Hansel
I rarely use this app because the features present are all available in other android apps Those other apps include several other features that I use on a regular basis I have seen TPE in use on iPhone and I am disappointed that the developers have not included the same features for Android Tom Herriman
Too bad they fell behind in updating features They have left android behind and gone to ios only for adding features Much better programs out there like Planit and Photopills Sunsurveyor This might as well go down in the history books used to be innovative now left behind Alan Smallbone
I hastily installed this based on the recommendation of a photography instructor A few hours later beyond the 2 hour limit for refund I discovered that the Android version does not have the functionality of the IOS version The instructor wasn t aware of this either For me paying for this app was a waste Mike Santella
Just a waste It hasn t been updated in forever It looks like the developers care only about the iOS version There are better alternatives for Android like PlanIt Pro Bogdan Stetco
Very limited functionality compared to IOS version No update in ages Not worth the money After trying it I wouldn t even download it for free Spend Your money on PhotoPills Adam Wierzchowski
I consult it for sun and moon info all the time Usually for planning a photo shoot but sometimes for other reasons A Google user
I saw the reply to another post from Crockneck about the difference in feature set between the apple version and the android version is related to the price difference I ll pay the difference to get all the features in the apple app Terry Hamilton
This app is not worth the price don t down load it You can t do much with it This app should be free for what you get out of it Damon Whitt
I love this app I used it for many years on iOS So far everything seems to be here on Android so I m a happy camper gnored
